Sentiance, the leading provider of AI-based motion insights from mobile data, has strengthened its Board with the appointment of Mark Ashton-Rigby as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Mark has over 30 years' experience in technology and operations in financial services, including from 2019 to 2023 as the Group Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Group Executive Committee at Barclays PLC, the diversified banking group. He also served as Chief Executive of Barclays Execution Services (BX), the service company providing technology, operation, and functional services to businesses across the Barclays group. He joined Barclays in September 2016 as Group Chief Information Officer, having previously held senior technology roles at J.P. Morgan, UBS, and Deutsche Bank.

The appointment will add significant experience and expertise to the Board of Sentiance at a time of growing demand for the company’s innovative, mobile-first, edge-based solution that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide valuable motion insights. Used by clients worldwide in sectors including motor insurance, the gig economy, and sustainable mobility, Sentiance’s technology understands and improves driver safety, and reduces risk in a scalable cost-efficient way.

Sentiance, based in Belgium, completed its most recent fundraising in October 2023 with the participation of its largest shareholder, AAA Capital, and other existing investors including Sentiance CEO Toon Vanparys, KPN Ventures, Volta Ventures, and PMV, the investment vehicle of the Flanders government.
