Solve traffic congestion issue by encouraging other modes of transportation
Olympus Mobility developed an app for the City of Antwerp to solve traffic congestion issues. The app detects different transport modes and encourages citizens to bike, walk and take public transportation in the city, solving the traffic congestion issue.
With our Mobility Insights, we implemented Multimodal Mobility Detection to detect what modes of transportation citizens are taking. We also used Mobility Profiling to understand citizens’ mobility profiles with multiple types of transportation modes to push personalized mobility recommendations to each citizen and support them.
This collaboration resulted in an overall less congested city, a more eco-friendly Mobility behavior and enhanced personalized recommendations.
Sentiance enabled Antwerp to detect citizens’ transport modes in real-time, making it easier to encourage shifts from private cars to walking, biking, and public transit to ease congestion.
By profiling multimodal mobility patterns, the city delivers personalized, green transit suggestions, helping residents choose more sustainable travel options.
Using behavioral insights, each commuter receives tailored suggestions for smoother, more efficient travel, fostering smarter choices and commuter satisfaction.
